Miscellaneous Projects

As I welcome any occasion to practice, I regularly create various graphic design projects for friends, family, or for my own personal use. Here is a small selection.

SUMMER FAMILY GATHERING

I was asked to create a presentation for a family gathering in order to share necessary information about the event. The presentation would be sent by email to all people attending.

I decided to go for a rustic, countryside style for the cover to evoke feelings of warmth, togetherness and simplicity.

The simple color palette is meant to complement the pictures and let them shine. The orange of the title is picked directly from the roof tiles and the vibrant green used for accents is picked from the grass.

I took care to make the pages as legible and clear as possible. I chose a simple layout, avoided clutter, and instead let the images take center stage.

Adding clickable links helped reduce the amount of information needed in the presentation.

CIVIL UNION CARD

I was asked to design a congratulatory card for a civil union.

I wanted to create something elegant and simple but not too sober, in line with the recipients' personality.

The simplicity of the picture is balanced by the playful typeface.

The two lines of text surround the clasped hands like a frame to make them stand out even more prominently, and the bottom text also serves to bring to attention the path in the background, enhancing the symbolism of the image.

WEEKEND GETAWAY

As part of a gift, I designed a small brochure to present the program of a weekend getaway in Provence.

For the cover, I selected a warm, inviting picture and took inspiration from old food labels to create a slightly retro style, as seen in the choice of typefaces.

Cookie is used for the decorative text and Josephin Sans for the main text.

The second page had to contain a lot of elements, so I kept the visual style simple.

Since the gift is a surprise and the brochure should give as little indication as possible about the actual location, the text and the images chosen are mostly evocative. They convey the necessary information without revealing too much.

The aim was also to give as much space as possible to the text, so the images were kept unobtrusive and with muted colors.

The green (#78866B) chosen for the side texts evokes the color of olive leaves.
